An ancient city beside the sea

Side, in Antalya’s Manavgat district, was an important port of ancient Pamphylia. The ruins spread across a peninsula and reflect the city’s connection with trade and the sea. Choose a walk focused on architecture, photography or simply taking time to explore.

The temples of Apollo and Athena

The Temple of Apollo near the harbour is one of Side’s most recognisable sights. Photograph its surviving columns against the sea and consider the nearby remains of the Temple of Athena. If sunset photography is a priority, mention it in your request so that pickup and return times can be planned around your preference.

The ancient theatre

The Roman theatre stands at the narrower part of the peninsula. Arches and vaults supporting the seating are among its distinctive architectural features. The gallery includes a view of the theatre from the surrounding ruins. Entry depends on restoration work and visitor access; availability for your travel date is checked separately.

Colonnaded streets and the agora

Allow time to explore the colonnaded street and agora area. Columns, masonry and traces of buildings add smaller discoveries between the main monuments. The gallery also shows the colonnaded street and state agora. Adapt the length of the walk to your group’s interests and pace.

Side Museum and the harbour

Housed in an ancient Roman bath, Side Museum displays finds including sculptures, inscriptions and sarcophagi. An optional museum visit can complement the outdoor walk. You can also request time for a rest and a stroll around the harbour.

Before you travel
